Networking via Phone

Tuesday, July 19th, 2011

Starting your networking journey with a phone call can help allay nervousness.

Visiting businesses in person is a great way to get your résumé to employers and let them know you’re available for work. It’s proven that well over half the jobs available are unadvertised.

However, sometimes it’s difficult to meet these people in person. Consider Your Surroundings

Wednesday, June 29th, 2011

Whether these people are in a position to offer you a job or are friends and family who can offer support and ideas, they, in some form or another, often influence your behaviour. By extension, it can be argued that this influences how successful one is when searching for employment.
